This skillfully made cherished piece is a wonderful example of quality made Nebraska Quilts. It was made by a farm wife in rural Waco, Nebraska in the 30's. She made many quilt in her day. They are very nice and unique. This one has a lot of character. No holes that go all the way through the quilt. There are some wear spots on the front edges. No  holes on the back. The quilt is tied also with the large part of the tie coming through to the back. The Quilt is a very heavy thick one. The condition is excellent  for it's age. There are a few areas where the dye bleed on the light colored pink. The stitches are skillfully hand done.  This piece measures 74'' x 88''. Being used, it does show some wear over time. The picture on the bottom shows the backing material used it is a plaid with a 16" band of the blue plaid going across the top . I have hand washed and dried this one out in the fresh county air. What a lovely  display of quilting, it is just stunning. Would be a lovely enhancement for your room, or would make a one of a kind holiday gift.
