Antique Patchwork Wool Filled Flour Sack Quilt

This skillfully made cherished piece is a wonderful example of of quality made Nebraska Quilts. This quilt was made in 30's by a farm wife in rural Waco, Nebraska. This one has a lot of character. The colors used in quilt are purples, reds, blues and greens. No holes on front of quilt. There are some wear spots on the on the back. These could easily be repaired. If you are not a seamstress I do have a lady the does some repairs for me. You can email about this for her charges. The back also has a few small white spots on material. The quilt is tied. The Quilt is a very heavy thick one. The condition is excellent for it's age. There are a few areas where the dye bleed on the lighter colors. The stitches are skillfully hand done. This piece measures 69'' x 78''. Being used, it does show some wear over time. The picture on the bottom shows the backing material used it is a purple blue striped material. I have hand washed and dried this one out in the fresh county air. What a lovely display of quilting, it is just stunning. Would be a lovely enhancement for your room, or would make a one of a kind gift.
